One class left.

I haven’t written anything here in a while and I thought it was time to update the blog with what’s going on with my university courses. I have one class left at WGU. It is Business of IT – Project Management, also known as the CompTIA Project+ (PK0-005) exam. This exam has eluded me for the better part of a year, and I haven’t been able to sit down and actually take it.

My job has been kicking my ass lately. I got a promotion in January and then another promotion in September. It has caused me to spend a considerable amount of time learning new things about my job and what all I need to do in my new role. Between that and some health issues I’ve had this year, school sort of took a back seat, not gonna lie.

At the same time, I know that my degree is waiting for me around the corner. It’s only one class, and then I’m home free. All I have to really do is get my shit together and actually get through the finish line. It took an entire term for me to study for the exam and at the last second, I missed my exam appointment because I confused the dates in the CompTIA site.

So, now I have to take another term at WGU, simply to pass that class, and then the only thing left would be the Capstone project for Software Engineering, but that won’t be an issue. In fact, I expect that to be easier than the CompTIA exam. I already know what I plan to code for that capstone, but I need to get over the Project+ stuff first.

So there you have it. That’s why I haven’t posted anything in a while. Mostly, it’s because there was nothing to report. There was no update because I am still stuck in limbo.

Once I pass the exam sometime this month, I will post a new entry about how it went.

Thanks for reading.
