One step closer.

Last night, I had a really productive conversation with my enrollment counselor at WGU, and we were able to finalize a few important things before the term starts. Unfortunately, I found out that I’m not eligible for financial aid, but I’m not letting that discourage me. I’m still determined to pursue my degree and find a way to make it work.

I’m planning to explore the scholarships offered by WGU and see if there are any opportunities that fit my situation. I also learned that WGU offers payment plans, which is a great option for someone like me who can’t pay the full amount upfront.

While I’m feeling excited to start school again, I’m also feeling a bit nervous. Balancing work and school is never easy, and I know that it’s going to be a challenging experience. However, I’m prepared to put in the work and earn my degree, no matter how difficult it gets.

Looking ahead, I plan on reaching out to the scholarship department on Monday to have a conversation about my options. I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to receive some financial assistance to help cover my tuition, especially since money is pretty tight for me right now.

In other news, things at work are going great, and I’m really settling into my role as a Tier 2 analyst. I have to admit, it’s a lot more responsibility than I expected, but I’m grateful for the opportunity. It’s clear that my boss trusts me with a lot of the more complex issues, and I’m glad to be stepping up to the plate.

What’s more, I’m excited to be learning some really valuable skills. In fact, along with a colleague of mine, we’re the only ones on the team that have been trained on how to effectively search the backend using SQL. This allows us to provide accurate responses to client inquiries much quicker. We’re now the go-to people for answering any client questions that require more in-depth analysis or a query in the database. It’s a unique skillset that my colleague and I both possess and we’re proud to be able to do it.

Anyway, I’m hoping to get all of the financial stuff for WGU resolved and out of the way by next week. The term starts on May 1st. Wish me luck!
